Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the west in an excellent game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the dealer, not like most other poker games that gamblers bet with other players. By playing against the dealer, starting players don’t have to be concerned about any other, more experienced individuals winning their mulla.
A further Pai Gow edge is the fairly leisurely game pace, newcomers should be able to take their time and plan without having to make hasty choices.
It is also simpler to gamble on for a very long time with only a little bit of money since, to lose, each of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards face up and the dealer gets 7 cards faces hidden.
One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
